There are advancements going on in the world of eye care wherein the risks of Alzheimer\u2019s at a later stage in life can be detected through eye examinations. Various researches are going on for the efficient detection of this disease worldwide. Through these methods, it was recently discovered that the symptoms of Alzheimer can be detected through eye exams while consulting for optical lens in Mauritius<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Process Is Not East At All<\/p>\n Scanning of the retina can lead to detection of this disease, although the patient showed no signs of the disease. A procedure known as angiography lets doctors differentiate between red blood cells and the other retinal tissues.<\/p>\n There were few participants in the study, and the best optician in Mauritius<\/strong><\/a> noticed that all of whom were in the age bracket of mid – 70s with no symptoms of Alzheimer\u2019s. 17 of them ended up with abnormal PET scans and\/or lumbar punctures. All of them had thinning of the retina and areas with scarce blood vessels. The eye test proved to be very successful and was marked as a significant step towards detection.<\/p>\n
