The eye colour is determined by the presence of melanin pigment in our irises, i.e more the pigment, more dark would be the colour of the eye. There have been many babies who have been born with blue eyes which have then altered into brown. This happens as the production of melanin does not begin at birth. Eye’s colour changes once the development of this pigment starts. There is no presence of green or blue pigments in the eye.
